In addition, he donates time to Boulder County Legal Services. He has given seminars on Estate Planning and Non-Profit organizations, and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Colorado. He is a past committee chair of the Boulder County Bar Association, and has served on the Boulder County Planning Commission from 1994 to 2000. In 1993 Mr. Warren was the first recipient of the Colorado Bar Association, Boulder County Public Service Award. In 2009, Mr. Warren received the John Marshall Award from the Boulder County Bar Association for pro bono public service.
RICHARD N. CARLSON

Attorney
Mr. Carlson has practiced law in Boulder County since 1985 after 9 years in Iowa where he practiced privately, worked with a Prisoner Assistance Program, served as a Deputy District Attorney, directed a Legal Aide Society, and served as County Bar Association President. Mr. Carlson has extensive experience with beryllium claims. Read his article on the Energy Employee Occupational Illness Compensation Act and Rocky Flats.
He graduated from Luther College (1971, Magna Cum Laude) and the University of Iowa Law School (1974). He is one unit short of having an MA in History. His practice includes:

Mr. Carlson has contributed to several community organizations, churches, Boulder County Legal Services, and legal information clinics. He has lectured on criminal and constitutional topics before legal seminars and community organizations and contributed op-ed pieces to local newspapers.
He is a member of the Colorado and Iowa Bar Associations and has appeared in State and Federal District and Appellate Courts in several states.

Mr. Moore has practiced law in the Gunbarrel-Niwot Community since 1994 after graduating from Willamette University College of Law, Salem, Oregon. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1983 and studied philosophy at the University of Colorado. He joined Warren & Carlson, LLP, in 1997 and became a partner of Warren, Carlson & Moore, LLP in January of 2007. His practice includes:

Mr. Moore is active in many community and civic organizations; including: Niwot Youth Sports as a long-time baseball coach and as Vice-President of its Board of Directors. Mr. Moore was President of Meals on Wheels of Boulder, Inc., from 1999 - 2001; and again in 2007 - 2009, and continues to serve as Member of its Board of Directors. He is a member of the Colorado and Boulder Bar Associations. In addition, he donates his time to Boulder County Legal Services and serves as President of the Board of Homestead Homeowners Association, Inc.
VICKI M. MAURER
Legal Assistant
Ms. Maurer joined the firm on a full-time basis in 1982 after serving as a student intern since 1980. She is a Niwot High School graduate, has been certified as an Accredited Legal Secretary, and is a member of the local chapter of the Colorado Association of Legal Support Staff.
Ms. Maurer is active in the community and in 1994 was named Woman of the Year by the Longmont Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She presently serves on the Business Advisory Committee for the St. Vrain Valley School District. She is the immediate past Secretary/Treasurer of Niwot Youth Sports, Inc., and is a staff member and part owner of the Left Hand Valley Courier.
NANCY D. MERCER
Legal Secretary
Ms. Mercer joined the firm in 1996. Her previous work experience has been in banking and real estate where she held management positions for over 8 years. She has lived with her family in Colorado for 25 years.
